  • What is the FE-CBT?
    The FE-CBT stands for Fundamentals of Engineering – Computer Based Test. It is typically one of the step in the process leading to the P.Eng.  License in Canada or P.E. in USA.

  • What is the CBT@FE Review Centre?
    The CBT@FE Review Centre helps APEGA Examinees to Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. This exam is the used by APEGA to confirm the technical knowledge of engineering graduates. It is administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).

  • How is the FE-CBT structured?
    The exam is 110 multiple-choice questions and takes a maximum of six hours to complete. The exam appointment time is 6 hours long, which includes a scheduled break (25 minutes), and a brief survey. 

  • Where can I write the exam?
    Candidates can book a seat at any PearsonVUE testing location in North America that offers the exam. In Alberta, there are locations in Edmonton and Calgary.

  • I failed and wish to take the exam again. What will happen?
    If you attend every class of the CBT@FE review course and workshops and don’t pass, you can repeat the next CBT@FE review course and workshops absolutely free. To get the guarantee for the FE-CBT, you must take the next actual examination given after the completion of the course. The free repetition is limited to only one time and it must be used in the next course offered after the results of the actual examination have come in. Any Subsequent repetition within 18 months will be at 60% of the regular fee.
